📌 Theme
The World Press Cartoon Oeiras 2025 (WPC Oeiras 2025) features three main categories: Editorial Cartoon – Works reflecting specific current events and themes. Caricature – Humorous portraits of well-known figures. Humorous Drawing – Cartoons on general themes unrelated to current affairs. Artists are encouraged to submit their best work, preferably with universal appeal to suit an international audience.
📜 Rules and Regulations
🔹 Eligibility: Open to all professional cartoonists worldwide.
🔹 Publication Requirement: Works must have been published between January 1, 2024, and May 15, 2025 in a newspaper, magazine, or recognized online media.
🔹 Submission Limit: Each artist may submit up to 6 works, with a maximum of 2 per category.
🔹 Artwork Format: Traditional Techniques: Only original artworks are accepted (no reproductions). Digital or Mixed Techniques: High-resolution prints signed by the artist are allowed. AI-generated works are strictly prohibited. Maximum size: A3 (420 x 297 mm).
🔹 Submission Materials: Printed works must include the original publication page and the cover of the newspaper/magazine. Online-published works must include a screenshot with the date and title of the media outlet.
🔹 Language Requirements: Works with captions must be translated into English and attached to the entry form.
🔹 Submission Method: Works must be sent flat-packed between two rigid cardboard sheets and labeled: “NO COMMERCIAL VALUE”.
🏆 Prizes and Awards
🔹 Grand Prix: €10,000 🔹 Category Awards (Editorial Cartoon, Caricature, Humorous Drawing): 1st Prize: €3,000 2nd Prize: €2,000 3rd Prize: €1,000 🏅 Honorable mentions will receive medals and certificates. 🎖 Winners will be invited to the awards ceremony and exhibition opening.

📢 Exhibition & Ceremony
The selected works will be exhibited in Oeiras, Portugal, in the last quarter of 2025 (exact date to be announced). A printed catalog and a participation certificate will be provided to selected artists.
