The 2nd International Cartoon Competition in Algeria officially announces its 2025 edition, inviting cartoonists from around the world to participate.

Participation Requirements

This competition is open to cartoon artists worldwide aged 18 and above. Algerian participants of all age groups are eligible to enter. Submitted works become the property of the association and may be used for media publications and cultural events in Algeria.

Competition Rules

Each submission must include the artist’s full name, surname, and country at the bottom of the artwork (Example: Tarek Sakharaoui, Algeria). Accepted formats include hand-drawn or digital artworks in A4 or A3 size, with a resolution of at least 300 dpi. AI-generated artworks, copied works, or non-original submissions are strictly forbidden and will lead to immediate disqualification. A CV must be submitted using the attached template and filled out accurately.

For Algerian Winners:

Honorary Awards will be given to three exceptional artists for their artistic talent.

Additional Benefits

Official Invitations to Algeria may be extended at the discretion of the association and governmental authorities. Invited participants must submit a scanned copy of their passport for visa facilitation.

Judging Process

All submissions will go through a preliminary selection phase, followed by an evaluation by an international and local jury. The jury’s decision is final and non-appealable, except in cases of idea theft or AI-generated artworks.

Special Notes

The Audience Award will be determined through public voting via the association’s social media pages. Participants will be notified in advance about the voting schedule. Algerian submissions will be evaluated separately by a local jury specializing in caricature.
