International Cartoon Contest: “Caricaturists for Life and Peace – No to War!”

Calarcá, Colombia – June 13, 14, and 15, 2025

Never before has humanity, our planet, and all forms of life faced the imminent threat of a third world war involving nuclear weapons—an unthinkable catastrophe, echoed in the horrors we witness today in Gaza.

The ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people by Israel, backed by the U.S., reminds us of Einstein’s words:

“I do not know with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.”

Today, over 12,000 nuclear warheads weigh upon the conscience of the world. If unleashed, nothing will remain.

In the face of this terrifying reality, we call upon caricature artists across the globe to take a stand—for life, for peace, and against war.

RULES OF PARTICIPATION:

1. Open to all caricaturists worldwide.

2. Each artist may submit up to three (3) works.

3. Technique: Free (any style or medium).

4. Format: A4 size (21 x 29.7 cm), JPG, 300 DPI.

5. Previously awarded or published works are allowed.

6. Each submission must include the following:

• Full name of the artist

• Email address

• Country of origin

7. By submitting your work, you accept the terms of participation and authorize the event organizers to publish your work in both print and digital media.

8. All participants will receive a certificate of participation.

9. A jury will select 60 works to be enlarged to 50 x 70 cm and exhibited on the Art Street of Calarcá (Colombia).

10. Submission Deadline: May 15, 2025.
