Leila Alaei , a cartoonist from Tabriz (a province in Iran), was selected as the only female of the Portuguese International Cartoon Festival's jury member. 

According to Irancartoon site the jury include:

Angel Boligan from Mexico, Antonio Santos from Portugal, Pepe Plaio from Cuba, Fadi Abu Hassan from Norway, Ricardo Ferreira from Portugal and Leila Alaei from Iran.

Leila Alaei started her professional activity in the field of cartoon in 2004 under the supervision of her teacher ,Rahim Baqal Asghari, cartoonist and founder of the Cartoon Museum and Tabriz Cartoonists Association. she has been a jury member of  several international competitions in countries such as Turkey, Ukraine, Greece. , Romania, Kosovo, Bosnia and Serbia.

It is noteworthy that the Portugal International Cartoon Festival, 2022 has started its fourth period with the theme of "education right" in two age groups, from 12 to 18 year old and over 18 years, and the deadline for submitting works will be Tuesday, November 30.
