Theme: Peace with Nasreddin Hodja
Since 1973, the Association of Cartoonists and the Municipality of Akşehir have co-organized the Nasreddin Hodja International Cartoon Contest, which serves as a global forum open to all cartoonists worldwide. The aim is to promote peace and tolerance through the universal language of caricature.
In its 45th edition, the contest theme focuses on the peaceful identity of Nasreddin Hodja. With his broad tolerance, stance against war and violence, and a smiling face turned toward the world, Nasreddin Hodja should be the inspiration for all submitted cartoons.
