• Caricature Category: Environmentalists

Objective

The 4th edition of the SIHG-PE invites artists worldwide to use humor as a tool for raising environmental awareness. Through the theme “Planet for All,” artists are encouraged to highlight environmental issues, using creativity and critical humor.

The caricature category pays tribute to notable environmentalists such as Greta Thunberg, Chico Mendes, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jane Fonda, Jacques Cousteau, Marina Silva, and others, celebrating their efforts in protecting the planet.

Eligibility

• Open to all professional and amateur graphic artists of any nationality.

• Each participant may submit up to two (2) works per category (cartoon, caricature, and comic strips).

• Submitted works must not have received previous awards.

• Works generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI) are not accepted.

• Individuals involved with the event’s organization, judging, or production, and their relatives up to the second degree, are not eligible.

Technical Specifications

• Format: A3 (297 mm × 420 mm), portrait or landscape.

• Resolution: JPEG, 300 DPI.

• For comics: 1 to 4 pages.

• All works must be original and must not infringe any third-party rights.

Registration

• Registration exclusively via the website: www.sihgpe.org

• A separate registration form must be filled for each category.

• Confirmation will be sent via email after successful submission. 

Important Dates

• Submission Deadline: August 10, 2025, 11:59 p.m. (Brasília time)

• Judging Date: August 30, 2025

• Exhibition Period: December 9, 2025 – February 1, 2026

• Winners Announcement: December 9, 2025, during the exhibition opening ceremony at 4:00 p.m.

• 1st Prize: R$ 7,000 BRL + Trophy

• 2nd Prize: R$ 3,000 BRL + Trophy

• Honorable Mention: Certificate

Caricature Category (Environmentalists)

• 1st Prize: R$ 7,000 BRL + Trophy

• 2nd Prize: R$ 3,000 BRL + Trophy

• Honorable Mention: Certificate

Comics Category (Planet for All)

• 1st Prize: R$ 7,000 BRL + Trophy

• 2nd Prize: R$ 3,000 BRL + Trophy

• Honorable Mention: Certificate

• Total Prize Fund: R$ 30,000 BRL

• Selected works will be published in the official SIHG-PE catalog.

Rights and Usage

• Selected works will be used for exhibition and promotional purposes.

• SIHG-PE holds non-exclusive rights to display and promote the artworks during current and future editions without additional compensation.

• Artists retain full ownership of their works.
