The activities of the fifth session of the International Festival of Comics in Africa will be launched in the city of Agadir, starting from December 15, 2022 until the 18th of the same month, under the supervision of the French-language satirical weekly “le canard libéré” and in partnership with the Moroccan Association for the Mac Comics and the Atlas Association for the Comics. This year’s session was chosen for it. Such as the topic “Man is a threat to the environment” because of the great importance this topic represents at the present time, which made it account for the greatest part of the concern of global organizations and officials.

This year’s session is known for the wide participation of a large number of artists from different countries of the world, their number has reached more than 375 artists, male and female, belonging to 72 countries, with a record participation, and for the first time since the launch of the festival six years ago, by young Moroccan artists exceeding thirty, where the participants will enrich This version, through the participation of more than 1,125 distinguished and diverse artistic works in terms of creativity and intellectuality, translates their personal vision of the theme of the festival, each from its own cultivation, in addition to allocating a competition on the sidelines of the festival dedicated to child creators, in order to encourage them to practice this unique art and ensure its continuity for subsequent generations.
