Syrian cartoonist Raed Khalil won the award of excellence at the International Golden Apple Festival for Spelling and Humor in Romania, whose competition is about football.

The artist Khalil also received the honorable award in the second competition section (Portrait) which embodies the character of the late World Footballer Maradona amid the wide participation of cartoonists from 80 countries.
