Theme: It’s a Trump World
It’s a Trump World
At Trump’s first inauguration, it was easy to dismiss “alternative facts” about the size of the crowd in attendance.
Now, with American big tech executives bowing at his feet, these “alternative facts” may soon become the only ones we know. Facebook has eliminated fact-checking in the name of free expression, and Twitter has reinstated Trump’s account, making it increasingly difficult to discern the truth.
Meanwhile, media outlets refuse to endorse opposition candidates under the guise of political neutrality while operating under the constant threat of costly lawsuits.
During Trump’s first term, there were still adults in the room keeping things in check. Today, however, his inner circle seems to cater to his every whim.
