PARTICIPATION REGULATIONS
The "Stefan cel Mare" Vaslui County Museum announces a new edition of the International
Caricature and Satirical Graphics Competition, organized within the Vaslui "Constantin
Tănase" Humor Festival, XXVIIIth edition, October 5-13, 2024.
The International Caricature and Satirical Graphics Competition aims to discover, promote
and bring together creators of satirical caricature and graphics from everywhere.
This year's edition of the International Salon of Caricature and Satirical Graphics has only one
section of caricature and satirical graphics that will have the theme: "Eternal politics: where is
the funny urn?"

1. Conditions of participation:
a. Genre creators from the country and abroad can participate in the International Salon of
Caricature and Satirical Graphics, without age limit;
b. participation in this edition requires a minimum of 3 (three) original works, not created by
an artificial intelligence program and not awarded in any national or international contest of
its kind;
c. the candidates who will participate in this contest must know that they are responsible,
according to the law, for the veracity of the information, the authorship of the submitted
works and the violation of copyright, both during and after the end of the contest;
d. the presented works will not exceed the size of A3 (297 x 420 mm);
e. the creative techniques used in the works are at the author's free choice.

2. Enrollment of works in the contest will be done electronically, at the institution's e-mail
address: muzeu_vaslui@yahoo.ro, until August 1, 2024, 24:00 (Romania local time).

3. The works entered will be accompanied by a short biography, photo, address and
telephone number, after which the laureates (winners) selected by the jury for the prize must
send the original drawings.

4. Enrolling works in the Salon is equivalent to taking note of and complying with the
Regulations for participation in the International Caricature and Satirical Graphics Salon.

5. Technical conditions: works will be submitted in electronic JPEG format, at a minimum
resolution of 300 dpi.

6. The jury of the International Salon of Caricature and Satirical Graphics, made up of three
famous members in the field of caricature and satirical graphics, personalities of culture and
art, will choose the winning works based on the following criteria: creativity, originality and
compliance with the theme of the contest.

7. The decisions of the jury cannot be contested.

8. The jury will award the prizes and trophies specific to the "Constantin Tănase" Humor
Festival, accompanied by the catalog of the International Caricature and Satirical Graphics
Salon, and the laureates will be notified in good time of the date of their presence in Vaslui.

9. In order to take possession of the prizes, the winners will have to send the awarded works
in the original, in packaging to prevent damage, by August 20, 2024 (postal date) to the

county, Romania. Original works will bear the signature of the author and will have the name,
surname, address and telephone number of the author written on the back.

10. For the creators who make the works digitally, they are obliged to specify in which
software the work was made, and the print of the work must bear the signature in the
original.

11. The envelope will be marked: "for the Competition International Salon of Caricature and
Satirical Graphics".

12. The organizer is not responsible for transport losses.

13. The opening of the International Salon of Caricature and Satirical Graphics and the
awarding of prizes to the laureates will take place on October 5, 2024 at the headquarters of
the "Ştefan cel Mare" County Museum in Vaslui.

14. The organizer will provide accommodation and meals for one day, only for the winners
who will be present at the opening.

15. The winners of the International Salon of Caricature and Satirical Graphics transfer the
ownership of the awarded works to the County Museum "Stefan cel Mare" Vaslui, at the time
of handing over the original works.

16. The organizer reserves the right to make available to the media the works presented in
order to promote this year's edition of the "Constantin Tănase" Vaslui Comedy Festival,
without the copyright claims of the authors of the works.
