REGULATION
SECULT – Municipal Secretariat of Culture of Mogi Guaçu – makes public the Regulation Notice for the 16th Humor Exhibition of Mogi Guaçu, which will be held from June 1, 2023 to July 1, 2023, at the Municipal Cultural Center “José Fantinato” .
OBJECTIVES
Article 1: The 16th Humor Exhibition of Mogi Guaçu is promoted by the Municipal Department of Culture of Mogi Guaçu and aims to:
a) Raise everyone’s awareness of the importance of the visual arts as a form of expression for understanding the everyday world;
b) Highlight and publicize new talents;
c) Using the visual arts as a way of raising awareness and reflection:
d) Appreciation of the artist;
e) Disseminate variants of artistic modalities in general.
OF THE REALIZATION
Article 2: The exhibition of selected works at the 16th Mogi Guaçu Salon of Humor will be held from June 1, 2023 to July 1, 2023, in the Entrance Hall of the Municipal Cultural Center “José Fantinato”, in Mogi Guaçu, State of São Paulo.
Sole Paragraph: Prizes will be awarded on July 6, 2023, at 4 pm in the “Célia Maria Stábile” Video Room, on the 1st floor of the “José Fantinato” Cultural Center.
PARTICIPATION
Article 3: Artists of any nationality, amateurs or professionals, may participate.
Sole Paragraph: Applications from abroad must indicate a bank entity with a branch in Brazil.
Article 4: Each participant may submit one (01) unpublished work in each modality.
MODALITIES
Article 5: Unpublished works must be presented in the following ways:
a) CARTOON;
b) CARICATURE;
c) COMIC STORY.
REGISTRATION
Article 6: Registration for the 16th Mogi Guaçu Salon of Humor can be carried out from April 21, 2023 to May 22, 2023, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, at the Culture Department, in person or through completing the form available at the link: https://bit.ly/Formulário_Salão_2023.
Sole Paragraph: The Municipal Secretary of Culture may, at any time, request additional documents to those selected, with a view to awarding.
Article 7: Two-dimensional graphic humor works, executed on paper, mounted on cardboard, colored or black and white, without frames, in the format of 29.7 cm x 42.0 cm (A3) when submitted in person or sent by mail, or in .jpg file, when sent through the web, duly identified.
Article 8: Only original works will be accepted (photocopies or computer reproduction will only be allowed when printing, by SECULT, of the file sent).
Article 9: The comic book modality work may be presented on a single page, using only one side of the paper.
Article 10: The back of each work must contain the following information: NAME OF THE WORK, FULL NAME OF THE AUTHOR, Pseudonym and CATEGORY ENROLLED.
SELECTION
Article 11: The submitted works will be analyzed by a pre-selection committee composed of the organizing team of the Salão do Humor de Mogi Guaçu. A total of 60 (sixty) works will be selected for the exhibition.
Sole Paragraph: The Organizing Committee of the 16th Humor Salon of Mogi Guaçu may disqualify works that denote, implicitly or explicitly, any type of prejudice, sexual, religious, partisan political connotation, particular interests or that violate modesty and/or to public or private morals.
AWARD
Article 12: Certificates of participation will be offered to all selected applicants. Occasionally, the Judging Committee may indicate diplomas of Honorable Mention.
Article 13: In each modality, the winning works will receive trophies and cash prizes, according to the table below:
a) 1st Place – R$ 600.00 (six hundred reais);
b) 2nd Place – R$ 400.00 (four hundred reais);
c) 3rd Place – R$ 200.00 (two hundred reais).
Sole Paragraph: The amounts will be deposited within 50 days after the end of the exhibition, in a bank account at agencies located in the national territory, to be indicated by the participant when registering.
Article 14: The awarded works will become part of the collection of the Department of Culture of Mogi Guaçu, as well as those sent via the web.
Article 15: The Judging Committee may fail to award a certain category due to lack of qualification of the works presented.
RETURN
Article 16: Non-awarded and original works must be removed upon presentation of RG from August 1, 2023.
Article 17: Original works not removed within 30 days will become part of the Humor Exhibition collection.
GENERAL DEVICES
Article 18: The simple registration implies the total agreement with the regulation, that all the works can be used in the Humor Hall for promotion, publicity of the event and cited authorship.
Article 19: The author agrees that his works are distributed and reproduced without profit.
Article 20: The Organizing Committee is not responsible for works that arrive damaged or are lost by the post office on the way.
Article 21: The costs of holding this event will be covered by budget form No. 1475, appropriation 23.01.13.392.3002.2.604.339031.01 – cultural events.
Article 21: The participation of municipal civil servants/employees and second-degree family members, consanguineous and by affinity, in the direct and collateral lines, ascendants and descendants (parents, children, brothers and nephews, uncles and cousins, grandparents, spouses and companions, stepchildren, fathers-in-law, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law and brothers-in-law).
Article 22: Any missing point will be resolved by SECULT – Municipal Secretary of Culture, whose decision is sovereign, allowing an appeal to be addressed to the Municipal Mayor, whose decision will be irrevocable and irrevocable.
Sole Paragraph: After publication of the notice, an appeal may be filed within 05 (five) business days, counted from the date of publication.
