Biography
Jean Galvão is a Brazilian cartoonist, designer and cartoonist. Member of the Society of Illustrators of Brazil. Born in Cruzeiro (SP) in 1972, he began his career at the age of 18, drawing for trade union bulletins. In 1993 he was hired as a cartoonist by the newspaper Valeparaibano, from São José dos Campos. Currently he makes drawings and strips for the magazine Recreio (Animatiras), from Editora Abril, and for the magazine Runners. Since 1999 he has published political cartoons on page 2 of the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo, where he shares space with colleagues Angeli, Benett and João Montanaro. Making humor for children is one of his great passions and, therefore, he plans to publish his own children's book. Grandma Grandma – It's an old lady without the stereotypical humor used for elderly people in cartoons and TV commercials. They are usually Cocoon style: energetic, funny and even modern. She is a grandmother full of faith, pain, loneliness, worries, affection and innocence.
