Wilson Gahan
United States
American cartoonist born in Evanston, Illinois, on February 18, 1930. Gahan Wilson graduated from the Chicago Art Institute in 1952 and settled into a cartooning career after what he describes as “a brief stretch as an airman.”
Wilson’s weird cartoons depict the strange doings of no less strange creatures with green skin, bulging eyes and hypertrophied heads. Though not to everyone’s liking, they have won him a devoted coterie of fans.Wilson has also written a number of fantasy and science fiction stories, and he does a review column for Fantasy and Science Fiction magazine.
