Biography
Fabiane Langona (Porto Alegre, 1984) is a Brazilian cartoonist, cartoonist and visual artist. Initially, she had assumed the pseudonym Chiquinha, but since 2017 she started to sign her works with her first name, Fabiane Langona.
A self-taught visual artist, she graduated in journalism from PUC-RS, and started working as an assistant editor and inker in the Brazilian edition of Mad magazine. In 2005, she had her comic published in the column by the cartoonist Ota in Jornal do Brasil and, shortly afterwards, she was hired as a regular comic artist for the Folhateen supplement of Folha de S.Paulo and joined the team of cartoonists at the UOL portal. She also collaborated in publications such as Tarja Preta, Vip, Piauí, Zero Hora, Diário Catarinense, Jornal do Comércio, TPM, Mundo Estranho, Le Monde Diplomatique, among others.
Fabiane has already published books with a compilation of her works. The first was Uma Patada Com Carinho, released in 2011 by LeY
