Biography
Eduardo Baptistao was born in São Paulo in 1966.
He is graduated in Publishing and Advertising by Casper Libero University in 1988. He has been acting as an illustrator in the editorial market since 1985 when he published his first work in the newspaper Folha De São Paulo. He has collaborated with publications like Veja, Jornal da Tarde, Época Negócios, Imprensa, Vogue, Quem, Sexy, Playboy, Veja, Placar, Você S/A among others.
He has been an illustrator for the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo since 1991, and collaborator for the magazine Carta Capital since 1995.
Winner of the HQMix Trophy five times as the best Brazilian cartoonist, he won other important prizes in Brazil (such as the International Humor Contest of Piracicaba and the Carioca Contest of Humor, among others) and abroad (World Press Cartoon of Portugal and Tehran International Cartoon Biennial, from Iran, where he also later served as a jury).
He has three books of caricatures published:
