Biography
Education: Graduated from Medical faculty in Belgrade, University of Belgrade. As a MD PhD, retired
as a professor of Microbiology and Parasitology.
Professional experience as a cartoonist:
He has done cartoons since he was in grammar school, when he was hired at the age of 14 to draw cartoons for the weekly „Glas Istre“(Voice of Istria) in Pula. Since then, he has published over ten thousand cartoons in domestic magazines as well as in international and had a numerous individual cartoon exhibitions in New York, Sophia, Pula, Belgrade, Kragujevac, Krusevac, Nis, Ohrid...
He published two book of cartoons „Triumphal arch“ and „En passant“ and illustrated over 15 books of satirists.
His work also included membership of the association of cartoonist FECO Serbia, as well as participation in a numerous jury panel in country and abroad.
Among others, he is also founder of The International Cartoon Contest „Aleksandar Klas“ in Belgrade and a member of the board of The Salon of Antiwar Cartoon in Kragujevac.
For his work, he was awarded about 50 times in country and abroad., out of wich main award was in Montreal (Canada), Gabrovo (Bulgaria), Sintra (Portugal), Knokke Heist (Belgium), Belgrade (Serbia)...
At present, he works as a cartoonist, illustrator and editor of the weekly magazine „Ilustrovana Politika“ in Belgrade and as director of portal Animal Cartoon (www.animalcartoon.net).
