Biography
Reinaldo Figueiredo is from Rio de Janeiro. He started working as a cartoonist and illustrator at the humor weekly O Pasquim, where he stayed from 1974 to 1985. In 1984, together with Hubert and Claudio Paiva, he created the monthly tabloid O Planeta Diário. Later, Planeta Diário merged with Casseta Popular and the Casseta & Planeta group emerged, which maintained a humor program in prime time on TV Globo for 18 years. But the comedian continued to support cartoonism. He has released four books: Scandals Illustrated (1984), Humor Drawings (2007), Autograph Nights (2010) and The Art of Zoar (2014). He has already published his drawings in the newspaper O Globo, was a columnist for Folha de S. Paulo and is a contributor to the magazine Piauí. Reinaldo is also a musician. He played electric bass in Casseta & Planeta's concerts and records and currently plays bass in the Companhia Estadual de Jazz (CEJ) quartet, a group from Rio de Janeiro dedicated to samba-jazz. Since 2013 he presents the program A Volta ao Jazz em 80 Mundos, on Rádio Batuta (Internet radio from Instituto Moreira Salles)
