Biography
Omar Zevallos - Peru
Born in a beautiful city called Arequipa, in southern Peru.
I am a cartoonist and cartoonist for more than 20 years and started my career in 1979 with two exhibitions of political humor that marked my life.
I studied biology and journalism.
I won the prize of the Union of Journalists of Cuba in the VI Graphic Humor Biennial of San Antonio de los Banos in Cuba and the Citation and Bronze Medal awards in the International Graphic Humor Competition of the Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper of Japan, in two opportunities (1985-1986).
Also the Third Prize in the Exceptional Contest of Political Humor of Knokke Heist in Belgium.
I have been a member of the international jury of 35av.
International Humor Festival of Konkke Heist in Belgium in 1996.
My works have been exhibited in Humor Rooms and Museums from almost all over the world, such as Japan, Belgium, Cuba, Bulgaria, France, Spain, England, Italy, etc.
And I was chosen for the sample of the 100 teachers of Graphic Humor, on the theme Peace in the World, in Italy.
I published three humor books: Save yourself who can,Do not make me laugh and Yes, dear.
