Biography
Le Hic began his career as a cartoonist at L’Authentique in 1985.
He then worked at Le Matin and Le Jeune Independant and has produced cartoons for Le Soir d’Algerie since 2006.
His cartoons can currently be found in the Algerian information daily El Watan and in Courrier International.
Le Hic has been taken to court numerous times, especially when working for Le Matin.
He has faced eight trials for defamation of corporate body and for insulting the President of the Republic, with a three month suspended prison sentence in 2005 for one of his cartoons.
