Biography
Gilbert Daroy - Philippines
Gilbert Daroy is an award-winning (UN-Lurie Awards, International Editorial Cartoons Award, Society of Publishers in Asia) political cartoonist/caricaturist for the Philippine Daily Inquirer for the last 9 years.
Prior to that he was/is a senior animator working for Walt Disney Television, and Warner Bros and has created an animated short 'Transmutation' that has garnered a Gawad CCP Award.
Presently he's a regular contributor of Illos for the magazine FHM and a CONTRIBUTING EDITOR at ESQUIRE MAGAZINE (Phil) and has illustrated a children's book.
Recently, he won his 2nd Catholic Mass Media Awards for Best Editorial Cartoonist (2011).
