Biography
Borislav Stankovic - Serbia
Born in 1949 in Bor, Serbia, Stabor has been a professional cartoonist for 41 years and is considered as one of the most important Serbian cartoonist today.
He currently works as a freelance political cartoonist for several prominent European magazines and newspapers such as ,,NEBELSPALTER”, ,,EULENSPIEGEL”, and for several Serbian daily magazines and newspapers.
In 1996 Stabor was invited to ,,SEIKA” university (Kyoto, Japan) to be one of the foreign lecturers at cartooning department. The same university proclaimed Stabor as one of the best cartoonist in the world in 1996.
The Turkish association of cartoonists chose Stabor for the Ambassador of Cartoons in 1997, and today Stabor is a member of CWS (Cartoonist & Writers Syndicate, NY, USA). During his long professional career in the field of cartooning, Stabor has won more than 250 important world prizes.
