Biography
Askin Ayrancioglu was born in Baglica village in the district of Sinop in 1969.
He graduated from the Painting Department at Samsun Ondokuz Mayis University in 1991.
Since 1987, he has painted and drawn caricatures, and taken photographs. Ayrancioglu has published two books: "Yuzunden Dusen Bin Umut" (2000), and "Sanat Yolu-1 / Yatili Okuldan Gecen Yol" (2005).
He had his first solo exhibition in the Baglica village in 1990. Since then, he has had many solo exhibitions and has participated in various group exhibitions.
He has also participated in numerous international and national caricature competitions, and has received more than 40 awards.
His works have been published in many albums, newspapers, and magazines.
His caricatures can be seen in museums in Yugoslavia, Cyprus, Turkey, Romania, the US, Japan and Italy.
