Biography
Alexander Sergeev was born on 1st September 1948 in Leningrad. He graduated at the Moscow Polygraphic Institute in 1977 on a specialization he book drawing". For many years he cooperated with the largest book and newspaper publishing houses of St. Petersburg and Russia. He has issued and illustrated more than 700 books and albums. Alexander Sergeev is a Member of the Union of Artists of Russia, Member of the Creative Union of Artists IFA (UNESCO) and Member of the Union of Journalists of Russia. He participated at more than 100 exhibitions at home and all around the world. Alexander Sergeev is the winner of 43 creative international competitions of a book drawing and caricature (in Austria, Belgium, Holland, Italy, Germany, Czechia, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Yugoslavia, Turkey, Japan, China, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Cuba, Brazil). His artworks are in museums and private collections in Russia, Germany, Japan, France,USA, Turkey and England. He is living and working in St Petersburg, Russia.
