I've worked in the animation industry for more than 20 years. Here's a breakdown of where I've been and what I've done:

  • Worked for 10 years at Saffire, doing everything from pixel-pushing to leading art teams and directing cinematic sequences.
  • 2 years as a game world builder and 8 of them as a character, prop, and environment designer (including couple projects as a lead concept artist) at at Disney's Avalanche Software.
  • Character designs for Sony Pictures Animation.
  • Illustration, design, color keys, and leading art teams for Blizzard.
  • Environment Design for Dreamworks Animation
  • Character Design for Disney Imagineering
  • Book and magazine illustrations for HarperCollins, Scholastic, ImagineFX, and a variety of other clients.
  • Teaching online at Schoolism.com
  • Presented workshops on lighting, composition, and character design in Moscow (Masters of Digital Painting), Toronto, Berlin, Stockholm, London, Vancouver (Schoolism Live!), Rome (IDEA Academy), Düsseldorf (Ubisoft), Paris (IAMAG), Glendale (Blizzard), Los Angeles (RIOT Games)
  • Currently teaching in the Animation program at BYU.
