Roger Ycaza Lopez is 34 years old and has a wide and recognized history in the world of illustration in Ecuador.
Industrial designer specializing in Graphic Design, a career that he studied at the Catholic University of Ambato, his hometown, and vocalist of the rock band Mama Vudu, stands out in the field of illustration of children's literature books. Many of the works of Ecuadorian authors who write for children have illustrations of Ycaza, a key name in the country, in this field, and who has also ventured into letters. Resident in Quito, recently was in Guayaquil, where he offered an illustration workshop at the Universidad Santa Maria.
He has illustrated more than sixty stories and children's and juvenile novels and some years ago also writes and illustrates his own stories.
His works have been published in Ecuador, the United States, Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, Spain, Chile and Peru.
In 2011 he was awarded the National Illustration Award "Dario Guevara Mayorga".
