Gilmar Barbosa, better known only as Gilmar, is a Bahian cartoonist. He began his career in 1984, in the newspaper A Voz de Mauá. Since then he has published in several newspapers and magazines, such as Diário de S. Paulo, Folha de S. Paulo, Você S / A, OPasquim21 and Vida Económica (the latter, from Portugal), among others. In 2003, he was elected the best Brazilian cartoonist for the HQ Mix Trophy.
