Contest theme: "WATER-RIVER-PEOPLE"
The major navigable rivers of the world have been the most used routes for people for millennia, a source of water and sustenance for them, agriculture, hygiene and other domestic needs. Water is the source of life. The river is its provider. People are its users. Nowadays, the river is still a way for transport, industrial, sports and tourism, it is still a place for fishing and recreation. But people look at the river in a different way.
On the one hand, it provides irrigation for agricultural crops, cools nuclear power plant reactors, carries away spent and filtered wastewater from industry and domestic use, provides bulk materials for construction, diverts water from smaller rivers during floods, to incentivize boat manufacturers and more. Large vessels and barges, harbor facilities and their repairs, bridges and ferries, and last but not least, it inspires the riverside poets, writers, artists and musicians, we would not or would to mentioned "courtship" to enter also into the intimate relations of the sexes "There by the river ".
On the other hand, people already take care of the riverbeds and their catchment areas, from the source to the mouth. Starting from international conventions and agreements, the laws of each country, through the normative documents of the relevant ministries and agencies, the constant care of mayors and municipal councils, and reaching non-governmental organizations, environmental protection associations, local clubs and student organizations that are a guarantor of environmental and water protection. The river next to us – Danube 490th kilometer from the mouth of the Black Sea.
Every single word of the above can and should be revised, disassembled, defragmented, "jumped" and assembled anew, according to the visions of the author-caricaturist, brought out graphically to humor and satire, to message or entertainment, to meaning or cheerful nonsense, to a simple line or a picturesque canvas, but necessarily in the triangle of the triad: "WATER-RIVER-PEOPLE" and with gratitude to nature.
It has been celebrated since June 29, 1994, when 13 countries and the European Commission signed the international Convention for the Protection of the Danube River. For the first time, Danube Day was celebrated in Ruse in 2004.

Each participant can submit up to 2 cartoons made with any technique plus digital, scanned with jpg. 300 dpi. A4, up to 3 Mb per cartoon. Signature on the obverse in the lower right corner of the work.

The works that received awards in other competitions participate in the exhibition, but do not receive awards.

Rights:
Selected participants give permission to the organizer to use their drawings for the catalog, exhibitions and for the promotion of the event. The awarded proposals will become the property of the organizers - sponsors and the municipality of Ruse, ME “Ruse art”, Bulgaria, EU. Mizahın renklere ihtiyaç duymadığı, sadece bir gülümsemeye, felsefi zekaya ve basit ve doğrudan bir renge - beyaz, siyah ve bunların (tek renkli) tonlarına - ihtiyaç duyduğu Bienal. Ödüllerden daha önemli olan, aktif bir sese sahip olmak, mizahınızı, saygısız fikirlerinizi toplulukla birlikte ifade etmektir.
1 - Tema: Baskıya, istismara, kötü eğitime, aptallığa, demagojiye, sahte haberlere, radikalizme ve kökten dinciliğe, dini/cinsel/sosyal fobilere, kabileciliğe/kulüpçülüğe, çevresel yıkıma karşı İnsanlığın hayatta kalması olarak İnsan Direnci ve Dayanıklılığı ... Önemi Zekanın gülümsemesiyle çatışmaları yatıştırmada bir dayanıklılık silahı (kınama, öfke, saygısızlık) olarak mizahın kullanılması. İster insan hakları (ırkçılık, yabancı düşmanlığı, zorbalık...), ister politika, çevre, gündelik toplum olsun, sanatçıların yorum yapabileceği bu dayanıklılık bolluğu içerisinde, anavatanlarından kaçmak yerine, Şehir gibi daha elverişli yerlere göç edip, köylerde, dağlarda dirençle, terkedilmişlikle, yalnızlıkla kalıyorlar...

DÜZENLEYİCİ KURUM : Askeri Darbelerin Asker Muhalifleri Derneği / ADAM-DER
TEMA: Militarizm ve 21. Yüzyılda Sermayenin Yıkımları (Yarışmanın amacını ve bu yılki temasını açıklayan metin ektedir)
SERGİ VE YARIŞMA KOŞULLARI:
1. Yarışma, tüm amatör ve profesyonel karikatüristlere açıktır.
2. Her katılımcı yarışmaya en fazla 5 eserle katılabilir. Eserler tek bir e-posta ile gönderilecektir.
3. Yarışmaya gönderilen karikatürler daha önce yayınlanmış olabilir. Ancak başka bir yarışmada ödül almamış olmalıdır. Aksi durumda yarışma dışı bırakılacak ve sonradan anlaşıldığında ödülün geri verilmesi söz konusu olacaktır.
4. Teknik serbesttir. Eserler orijinal ya da baskıya uygun 300 dpi çözünürlükte ve jpg formatında olmak üzere e-posta ile kabul edilecektir. Farklı formatlarda gönderilen; açılmayan ve açılamayan dosyalardan kurumumuz sorumlu değildir.
5. Gönderilecek karikatürlerin boyutu en fazla 30×40 cm. olmalıdır.
6. Katılımcılar, adının, soyadının, adresinin, e-postasının, fotoğrafının, telefon numarasının ve kısa bir özgeçmişinin yer aldığı Word dosyasını iletisim@adamder.org.tr adresine karikatürlerle birlikte eksiksiz biçimde göndermelidir
7. Karikatürler, en geç 30 Mayıs 2024 Perşembe günü saat 23.59’a kadar iletisim@adamder.org.tr adresine gönderilmiş olmalıdır.
8. Yarışmanın ilk sonuçları 8 Haziran 2024 tarihinde www.adamder.org.tr ’de açıklanacaktır.
9. Yarışmaya gönderilen karikatürler geri gönderilmeyecektir. Ödül alan veya alamayan karikatürler kullanılabilir, yayınlanabilir. Bu kullanımlar için seçilen eserlere ayrıca ücret ödenmez. Yarışmaya katılanlar bu şartları kabul etmiş sayılırlar. Eserler ADAM-DER arşivinde saklanacaktır.
10. Yarışmaya katılan eserlerin tümünün sergilenmesine, dijital veya basılı albüm yapılmasına tümüyle ADAM-DER karar verir.
11. Jüri tarafından seçilen eserler sergilenecektir. Ödül töreni ve Sergi açılışı Haziran ayı içinde yapılacak olup, yer ve saati bu tarihten önce www.adamder.org.tr adresinden açıklanacaktır.
12. Yarışma ile ilgili açıklamalara, yarışma şartnamesine ve daha ileride yapılabilecek değişiklik ve duyurulara www.adamder.org.tr web sitesinden ulaşılabilir.

IV. MİLİTARİZMDEN ARINDIRILMIŞ BİR DÜNYA ÜTOPYASI KARİKATÜR YARIŞMASININ’NIN AMAÇ VE TEMASI ÜZERİNE
Diktatörlüğe, darbelere ve militarizme karşı demokrasiyi ve insan haklarını savunmak ve bu alanda kamusal bilincin gelişmesine katkıda bulunmayı kuruluş amaçları arasında sayan Askeri Darbelerin Asker Muhalifleri Derneği, Militarizmden Arındırılmış Bir Dünya Ütopyası başlıklı karikatür yarışmasının 2024 temasını, Militarizm ve 21. Yüzyılda Sermayenin Yıkımları olarak belirledi.
20. Yüzyılın ilk yarısında iki büyük dünya savaşı ve sayısız bölgesel savaş ve yerel çatışmalar yaşadı insanlık. Sermayenin pazar kavgaları ve egemen olma isteği karşısında hem insanlık hem de doğa büyük zarar gördü. Aynı yüzyılın sonlarına doğru sosyalist kampın dağılması ve 70'li yıllarla birlikte uygulanan neoliberal politikalarla sermaye, insanlığın son iki yüzyıldaki kazanımlarını büyük ölçüde elinden aldı.
21. Yüzyıla bu kayıplarla başlayan insanlık, 11 Eylül 2001’de ikiz kulelere yapılan saldırı sonrasında yeni bir "güvenlik" tanımı ve bunun neden olduğu bir büyük kuşatma ve saldırı ile karşılaştı. Sermaye artık sadece emeğin ürününe değil, hayatımızın her anına ve bedenlerimiz üzerinde de büyük bir tahakküm kuruyor. Bu tahakkümün sağlanabilmesi için demokrasi olarak tanımlanan ülkelerde bile totaliter eğilimler güç kazanıyor, birçok ülkede otoriter liderler seçimler yoluyla iktidara yerleşip, kalıcı hale geliyorlar.
Şöyle ki, Emperyalizmin ABD, Almanya, İtalya gibi merkez ülkelerinin muhafazakar seçkinleri arasında doğuştan yurttaş olmayanları, yakın göç geçmişine sahip olanları tehcir ve tenkil planları çevresinde oluşan ırkçı ve faşist komplolar yaygın politik partilere dönüşerek gitgide devletlerin merkezine yürüyor ve kimilerinde iktidara tutunuyorlar. ABD’de Trump’ın MAGA hareketi, İtalya’da iktidardaki Meloni FdI’si, Fransa’da Le Pen’in Milli Cephesi Hollanda’nın ırkçı-islamofobik Özgürlük Partisi, Macaristan’da Orban’ın Fidesz’i, Avusturya’nın ÖDP’si ve Almanya’da AFD iktidara yürüyen yeni faşist dalgayı anlamak açısından somut örnekleri oluşturuyor.
İletişim ve bilgisayar teknolojisi, yapay zeka vb alanlardaki tüm gelişmeler, insanlığın refahı, kültürler arasındaki dayanışmayı ve birlikte yaşama olanağını geliştirmek için değil, sermayenin daha fazla kazanması ve egemenliğini sürdürmesi için kullanılıyor.
Bu yüzyılın bir diğer ayırt edici özelliği ise, emek sömürüsü dışında sermayenin varlıklarını arttırmak için tüm ülkelerdeki toplumsal mutabakatları hiçe sayarak, hukuk sitemlerini çiğneyip kamusal alanlara ve kendi yurttaşlarının mal varlıklarına çökme ve yağmalamayı meşrulaştırmış olmasıdır. Sermaye, kentlerdeki yaşam üzerinden de insanlıkla bir savaş halindedir.
Bir avuç sermayedarın karı için ve plansız olarak sürdürülen üretim ve yağmalama sonucunda dünyanın kaynakları hızla tüketilmekte, doğa toprağı, havası ve suyuyla her yönden kirletilmekte, canlıların yaşam alanları tahrip edilip, ekolojik sistem bozulmaktadır.
Bu sistemin hem ideolojik hem de maddi anlamda sürdürülebilmesinin bir aracı olan militarizm, 21. Yüzyılda toplumsal hayatın ayrılmaz bir parçası haline gelmiş, kamusal alandan özel yaşama kadar hayatımızın her bir hücresine nüfuz ederek, şiddetin, savaşların olağan, gündelik bir olay haline gelmesine sebep olmuştur.
Normal sayılan dönemlerde bile toplumsal cinsiyet eşitsizliği nedeniyle dünyanın her yerinde dezavantajlı durumda olan kadınlar ve LGBTİ+’lar, 21. Yüzyılın yıkıcı emek pazarında, savaşlarda ve onların yol açtığı göçler nedeniyle yeni zorluklar ve mahrumiyetlerle yüz yüze kalıyorlar.
“Militarizm ve 21. Yüzyılda Sermayenin Yıkımları” temamız, Küresel sermaye düzeninin militarizasyonunu; sermayenin yeni formunda güvenlik devleti, totaliterleşme; otoriteryanizm, dijital teknolojiler ve yapay zeka bağlamında toplumun militarizasyonu; otoriter bir emek rejiminin inşası, otoriter neoliberalizmin cinsiyetçiliği ve kadın emeğinin durumu; militarizmin iklim krizi ve ekosistemin yıkımındaki rolü ve ekosistemin yıkımı olarak emperyalist savaşlar ve yeni sömürgecilik bağlamlarında ortaya koymayı amaçlıyor.
Askeri Darbelerin Asker Muhalifleri Derneği, bu yılki başlığı ile sermayenin 21. Yüzyılda neden olduğu tüm bu sorunlara ve bu yıkımlardaki militarizmin rolüne dikkat çekmeyi amaçlamaktadır.
Militarizmden Arındırılmış Bir Dünya Ütopyası Karikatür Yarışması dolayısıyla karikatür sanatçılarının, çizimleriyle 21. Yüzyılda militarizm ve sermayenin yıkımları arasındaki sıkı bağı ortaya koyarak militarist sermaye düzenine karşı durma farkındalığına katkı sağlayacağını umuyoruz.

lansmanını duyurmaktan mutluluk duyuyoruz. Uluslararası Hiciv Grafikleri ve Mizah Edebiyatı Festivali UMOR LA….GURA HUMORULUI'nin 34. edisyonunu kutluyor ve sizi bu etkinliğin bir parçası olmaya davet ediyoruz.
Festivalin gerçekleşeceği dönem 12 Temmuz - 14 Temmuz 2024 tarihleri arası olup, bu edisyonun teması EVRİM'dir . Son teslim tarihi Hiciv grafikleri bölümüne karikatürlerin gönderim tarihi 25 Haziran 2024'tür.

The 34nd edition of Umor la ... Gura Humorului, the International Festival of Cartoon and Humorous Literature will be held between July, 12 – July, 14, 2024.
THE CONTEST REGULATIONS CARTOONS
1. The Edition theme: EVOLUTION
2. Original works are accepted, in digital format, created after January, 1st, 2024, which were not published and submitted or awarded prizes to other competitions.
3. Each participant will submit two ( 2 ) cartoons to be analysed by the jury.
4. The works will be submitted by JUNE 25, 2024 (posting date) on the following addresses: email: umorlahumor@gmail.com or postal address: Muzeul Obiceiurilor Populare din Bucovina, str. Sfântul Gavril, nr 14, 725300 - Gura Humorului, judeţul Suceava, România.
5. Technical requirements:
- Papers sent by e-mail: minimum1600 x 1200 pixels, JPG format
- Papers sent by regular postal mail: format A3/A4
- The technique used for the works will be at the free choice of the artist
6. The works are not to be returned. They will be added to the patrimony of the Umor la ... Gura Humorului Festival and the organizers are entitled to use them later as edited materials with the name of their author on them.
7. The participants are required the following documents enclosed with their works: the completed entry form attached, a brief CV and a personal photography/cartoon self portrait.
8. The winners will be announced online until the July 8, 2024 to be present for the Awards Festivity held on Sunday, July, 14th, 2024, if they will not be able to participat, the diplomas will be sent by mail and the cash prizes by bank transfer.
10. Transport expenses, accomodation and meals are the responsibility of the participant or the organization/ institution he/she is part of. The organizers will be notified in due time to make the necessary reservations

13. The jury are the ones who decide upon awarding or not awarding or re-allocating the prizes. In addition, the jury will decide upon the works or the authors to be rewarded by sponsors, associations, mass-media, institutions, commercial societies or private persons, with their consent.
13. There will be no participation fees.

EXPOSURE: The works selected for the competitive show will be exhibited at Casa Ziraldo de Cultura from June 17 to 28, 2024.
MODALITIES - Unpublished works may be presented in three modalities with only 01 (ONE) work per category.

2 – STRIPS /COMIC – DIALOGUE (with text in Portuguese or without text / Maximum of ONE Page)
3 - CARICATURE – theme: FREE (VERTICAL)

The themes of the Festival are:
1 – CARICATURE "CARTOONISTS of BRAZIL" (VERTICAL). Only category that is allowed to submit up to three drawings Note: caricatures of cartoonists Ziraldo and Zélio will not be accepted, as both have already been themes in previous editions.
2 – CARICATURE TRIBUTE: Luis Pimentel (Writer)(boundary of a drawing, VERTICAL)
PARTICIPAÇÃ0 - Artists of any nationality, amateur or professional, over 18 years of age may participate. Each participant will be able to submit unpublished drawings. Drawings that have been awarded until the closing date of registration will not be able to register.

IMPORTANT: The registration will only be carried out by sending in a SINGLE MESSAGE, the drawings registered in all the modalities in which the artist will participate, added with the following information: Full Name / Artistic Name / Address / CPF / RG / Telephone
TECHNIQUES - DIMENSION: 30 cm x 40 cm. The works, unpublished, must be original. The technique is free. Papers printed on coated/A3 paper will also be accepted. The use of the AI – Artificial Intelligence feature will not be allowed
AWARDS: Money: R$ 500.00 (five hundred reais) for the first places in each of the six categories, total of R$ 3,000 (three thousand reais), under the full responsibility of the Municipality of Caratinga.
IMPORTANT:Registrations from abroad must indicate a bank with a branch in Brazil.
TROPHIES: for the top three in each category
Certificates: For the three Honorable Mentions in each category - There will be no more than one award per author in each category. If this happens, the prize will be awarded to the author who obtains the most subsequent scores. - Other awards and mentions may be instituted at the discretion of the Organizing Committee.
JUDGING - There will be a selection jury and an award jury composed of qualified people in the area.
The award jury reserves the right not to allocate prizes to categories that do not reach a sufficient level, transferring them to other categories or creating a special Salon award.
If the award jury finds any kind of irregularity, fraud or plagiarism in one or more of the works submitted, it may cancel the award by awarding the same to another artist next in its classification.
The awarded works will be published on the blog and on the Facebook page of the Caratinga Humor Salon after the inauguration and may be contested up to one week after the opening of the salon with reasonable evidence of any irregularity committed without the knowledge of the jury.
All submitted works (awarded or not) will be acquired for the Associação Estação Cultural de Caratinga. The works will be part of the collection of the Caratinga Humor Salon, which will be able to participate in itinerant exhibitions, dissemination in print, television, electronic media and be published in books and magazines. By participating in the contest, the artist will be agreeing to the rules of the regulation. By registering, the author automatically transfers the assignment of the Copyright of his/her works in accordance with Law No. 9610 of February 1988 (Copyright Law) in a total, universal and definitive manner in all modalities of use and free of charge, the copyright, protected by the aforementioned law referring to the work(s) awarded at the International Humor Salon of Caratinga, which becomes part of the to the Cultural Collection for Research and Dissemination of the National Graphic Humor of the Associação Estação Cultural de Caratinga for all the purposes of the rights that it reserves to make of them as it pleases.
The simple registration automatically implies agreement with the terms of this regulation.

Ödül alan eserler, açılıştan sonra Caratinga Mizah Salonu'nun blogunda ve Facebook sayfasında yayınlanacak ve salonun açılışından bir hafta sonrasına kadar, jürinin bilgisi dışında yapılan herhangi bir usulsüzlüğe dair makul kanıtlarla itiraz edilebilecek.
Gönderilen tüm eserler (ödüllendirilmiş olsun ya da olmasın) Associação Estação Cultural de Caratinga için satın alınacaktır. Eserler, gezici sergilere katılabilecek, basılı, televizyon, elektronik medyada yayılabilecek ve kitap ve dergilerde yayınlanabilecek olan Caratinga Mizah Salonu koleksiyonunun bir parçası olacak. Sanatçı, yarışmaya katılarak yönetmelik kurallarını kabul etmiş olacaktır. Yazar, kayıt yaptırarak, Şubat 1988 tarihli 9610 sayılı Kanun (Telif Hakkı Kanunu) uyarınca eserlerinin Telif Hakkının devrini tüm kullanım şekillerinde tam, evrensel ve kesin bir şekilde ve ücretsiz olarak otomatik olarak devreder, telif hakkı, Caratinga Uluslararası Mizah Salonu'nda verilen eser(ler)e atıfta bulunarak yukarıda belirtilen kanunla korunan telif hakkı, Associação Estação Cultural de Caratinga'nın Ulusal Grafik Mizahının Araştırılması ve Yaygınlaştırılması için Kültürel Koleksiyona, bunları istediği gibi yapma hakkını saklı tuttuğu tüm amaçlar için.

XXXI International Exhibition of Arts of Humor 2024
The Quevedo Institute of Arts of Humor through The General Foundation of the University of Alcalá announces the XXXI International Exhibition of Arts of Humor around the subject «Billionaires». There will be more information about the subject in the website iqh.es.
1. Participation is open to all the persons older than 18.
2. In order to participate in the Exhibition, every artist must send a piece on the theme «Billionaires». It can be a vignette, a comic strip or a caricature. The organization reserves the right to invite those authors that the organization members agree to consider important for the exhibition.
3. The works must be original and must be signed. They can be made with any technique and in any format, with maximum dimensions of A3 (297x420 mm), and preferably in portrait format for printing in the catalogue.
4. All art pieces will be sent before June 2nd 2024. Together with the piece, the authors must send the filled formulary attached to these requirements.

It is essential to comply with the noted date for the adequate planning of the catalogue and design of the exhibition.
5. Entries sent by post must be suitably packaged. It is recommended to protect them with flat cardboard. The organization won't take responsibility on any possible damage occurred during transportation. Mailing costs will be the responsibility of the participants in this call, and the organisation will not assume any costs (e.g. customs charges) or any liability in the event of damage or loss of the work.
6. A Selection Comission will carry out a selection of the pieces submitted, that will be exhibited in the XXXI Internacional Exhibition of the Arts of Humor in
september-november.
7. All pieces submitted will be kept at the Graphic Humour Archives of the General Foundation of the University of Alcalá, except specific indication to the contrary, for which the artist must write on the reverse of the piece “Devolución/Return”.

8. The submission of the piece means that the author authorizes the General Foundation of the University of Alcalá to reproduce it and exhibit it, as long as the name of the artist is displayed and the objective is the media coverage of the Exhibition and the rest of activities of the General Foundation of the University of Alcalá within the field of Graphic Humour and/or of this call (edition of catalogues, posters, leaflets, media coverage, web page, etc.), and in any case it generates any type of obligation on the author's part.
9. The organization will communicate through the Exhibition web page the list of participants with submitted piece and the list of selected pieces.
10. At the end of the exhibition in Alcalá, those people with selected pieces will receive a copy of the catalogue, which will be edited to mark the celebration of the Exhibition.
11. The organization reserves the right to not exhibit those pieces considered to infringe individual or collective rights.
12. The participants will be responsible before any claim on the authorship of the works. The organization will not be responsible before any claim made by a third party upon the violation of intellectual rights or property of the works.

7.- Sunulan eserler, aksi açıkça belirtilmedikçe, Alcalá Üniversitesi Genel Vakfı'nın Quevedo Mizah Sanatları Enstitüsü'nün koleksiyonlarının bir parçası olacak ve eserin arkasına "Dönüş" kelimesi yazılmalıdır.
8.- Eserin gönderilmesi, yazarın Alcalá Üniversitesi Genel Vakfı'na, adının görünmesi ve amacın Serginin ve FGUA'nın mizah alanındaki diğer faaliyetlerinin yaygınlaştırılması olması koşuluyla, yazara karşı herhangi bir yükümlülük oluşturmadan onu çoğaltma ve yayma yetkisi verdiği anlamına gelir.
9.- Kuruluş, eserlerin alındığını ve seçildiğini elektronik olarak bildirecek, ikinci listeyi iqh.es web sitesinde yayınlayacaktır.
10.- Eser seçimi yapılan yazarlara, Sergi kutlamaları vesilesiyle yayınlanacak yayının bir kopyası verilecektir.
11.- Kuruluş, bireysel veya kolektif hakları ihlal ettiğini düşündüğü eserleri sergilememe hakkını saklı tutar.
12.- Katılımcılar, herhangi bir iddia durumunda eserlerin orijinalliğinden sorumlu olacak, herhangi bir hak veya fikri mülkiyet ihlaline karşı organizasyonu sorumlu tutacaktır.
13.- Sergiye katılım, bu kuralların kabul edildiği ve herhangi bir yasal talepten feragat edildiği anlamına gelir ve eserlerin sorumluluğu da yazarlarına aittir. |

REGULATION: International Cartoon Contest, the XIXth edition, 2024, Braila, Romania
The running of the contest: from the 15 th of February to the 20 th of September 2024
Theme: EURO 2024 - in offside
Entries: max. 3
The cartoon works will be original and accompanied by a brief biography, photo, addresse and phone number.
The making technique of the cartoons is free.
Submission of the cartoon works: The cartoon works will be sent by e-mail from the 15 th of February to the 10th of July 2024, 2400 o’clock (Romanian local time) to: cartooncontestbraila@gmail.com
The judging process will take place between: the 15th - 31st of July 2024.
Technical conditions:The works will be submitted in electronic format, JPG, 300 dpi resolution, CMYK.
Each submitted cartoon work will contain the author's name and the title of the work, in the file name.
Awarded Prizes:
The BIG prize 1000 EURO
The FIRST prize 700 EURO
The SECOND prize 500 EURO
The THIRD prize 400 EURO
3 SPECIAL prizes 3 x 200 EURO each
The amounts corresponding to the prizes are taxable according to the Romanian legislation in force,at the date of their awarding.
In order to receive the prizes, the winners must send the winning work in original (with the author's signature on the back of the paper) within a maximum of 45 days from the announcement of the winners (on the facebook page of the Organizer: https: //www.facebook .com / Centrul.de.Creatie.Braila, once with the Salon’s opening). The winning works will be accompanied by a statement (annexed to this Regulation) regarding the assignment of copyright for exposure for
an indefinite period as well as personal bank account data (bank name, IBAN code, SWIFT code), through a document issued by bank, lei account (for Romanian competitors), respectively in euro / national currency (for foreign competitors).
The prizes will be offered in RON, at the euro exchange rate of the Romania National Bank from the date of approval of the initial Regulation.
The payment of the prizes is made by bank transfer. The transfer costs will be borne by both parties (Organizer and the winner of the prize), according to the banking legislation. The prizes will be transferred within a maximum of 60 days from the announcement of the winners, in compliance with the legal provisions.
The winning cartoons will be sent by post to the following address: Romania, Brăila, Traian Square, no. 2, postal code 810153.
The Organizer shall not be responsible for the impossibility of a winner to take possession of the prize for reasons not related to it. If the competitor does not comply with the obligations imposed by this regulation, the Organizer is exonerated from any liability.
Note: In the absence of interbank relations between Romania and the country of origin of the winner, the Organizer is exonerated from any liability.
The participants will declare that they own the works and own the copyright of the cartoon works entered in the competition.
By entering the works in the contest, the participants agree on the exhibition of the respective works within the cartoon exhibitions organized in art galleries or museums, assigning the copyrights for the respective works for exposure (the agreement being given implicitly for the promotion of the International Cartoon Contest)
The organizer assumes no responsibility for any infringements of copyright or ownership. The single responsibility lies to the person who submitted the cartoon work.
The winners of the International Cartoon Contest transfer the ownership of the awarded works to the Organizer (Braila County Center for the Preservation and Promotion of Traditional Culture) at the time of sending over the original cartoon works to it.
The winners declare under their own responsibility that they assign the copyright on the cartoon works for the realization of exhibitions in order to promote the event, the institution and the image
of the city, for an indefinite period, by any means.
Exhibitors from the catalog of the edition allow CJCPCT Brăila the right to use the works in order to promote the institution, the city and the salon in Art Galleries, museums, etc.
The contest opening and the awarding ceremony: the 20th of September, 2024.
The organizer will provide accommodation and meals for one day, for the winners who will be present at the opening ceremony.
The organizer will support the travel expenses (assurance/ settlement) for the winner of The Big Prize.
Winners residing in the Municipality of Brăila are exempt from accommodation.
The exceptions to the accommodation are the winners residing in the Municipality of Brăila.
The Organizer reserves the right to change the conditions of the contest; subsequent changes will be communicated to those interested.

Pleased that during of our fifty-three-years existence we have created a network of exceptional cartoonists - collaborators and friends of OSTEN, we announce the 56 WORLD GALLERY OF CARTOONS Skopje 2024!
APPLICATION
REGULAR APPLICANT should:
- Fill out the APPLICATION FORM (electronically or manually) and send it to the e-mail:
cartoons@osten.com.mk along with a photo, short bio and digital images of the submitted works
- To send the electronically submited works -original or digital (printed, numbered and signed) BY POSTAL MAIL along with the printed and signed Application Form to our address:

• The process of organization of the 56th WGC Skopje 2024 is in four phases:
- APPLICATION (31 May 2024)
- SELECTION + publication of selected cartoonists (June 2024)
- JURY + announcement of finalists (July – August 2024)
- ANNOUNCEMENT OF AWARDED CARTOONISTS (September 2024)
